October is the month of the Rosary, so this is the perfect opportunity to share this beautiful prayer with family, friends, and our Catholic faith community ... our parish. This prayer from Mary slows us down and whether we pray the full rosary for 5 decades or a decade every day, we re-imagine the story of the Gospel about our faith, about Jesus and Mary.
Legend has it that the Rosary as a form of prayer was given to St. Dominic (1170-1221) by Mary, the Mother of God, who entrusted it to him as an aid in the conflict with the Albigensians. Dominican Pope, St. Pius V, did a lot to spread the Rosary and it has since become one of the most popular devotions in the Catholic world.

and from the Son,
(right hand on chest)
and by the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
The Apostle's Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended to heaven and sat at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
our father
our father,
in heaven, your name is glorified; Come to your kingdom; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our iniquities as we forgive those who have offended us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Amen.
Ave Maria
Ave Maria,
full of grace, the Lord be with you; blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
glory
Glory to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; as in the beginning, now and forever, the world without end. Amen.
Fatimah prayer
O my Jesus, forgive our sins, save us from the fire of hell, take all souls to heaven, especially those who are in desperate need of your mercy. Amen.
Hello Holy Queen
Hello, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. We cry to you, poor daughters of Eve cast out. To you, we send sighs of pain and tears in this vale of tears. Turn on us, most loving advocate, your eyes of mercy, and after our exile show us the fruit of your blessed womb, Jesus. O merciful, o love, o sweet Virgin Mary. You pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. That we are worthy to receive the promises of Christ. Amen.
While the world, for good reason, relies on medical research to save the lives of millions of people, the "future forces" are barely hearing what climate science has to say about the existential threat to billions of global warming.
Since 1751, the world has emitted more than 1.5 trillion tons of CO₂. Atmospheric CO₂ levels will be 413.2 parts per million (ppm) in 2020, rising at a peak rate of 2.5-3.0 ppm/year, representing the largest acceleration since the dinosaur mass extinction 66 million of years ago.
"The last time the Earth experienced a comparable concentration of CO₂ was 3-5 million years ago when temperatures were 2-3 ° C warmer and sea level 10-20 meters higher than now." , said, prof. This was stated in a statement by Petteri Taalas, secretary-general of the World Meteorological Organization.
An increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases to levels of> 400 ppm has the potential to rapidly transform the atmosphere into conditions similar to the Miocene and even the Eocene, catastrophic for life on Earth.
According to the IPCC “the warming effect of + 1.5° C (compared to the pre-industrial average temperature), plus the projection that half a degree Celsius, 2 ° C versus 1.5 ° C, will make a considerable difference in profitability. of planet Earth […] the warming trajectory based on historical trends will have a sharp increase above 3 ° C and perhaps more if emissions are not reduced […] the whole world must become carbon neutral by 2050 ”.

Global average temperatures can be misleading. According to NASA, "The effects of climate change have not spread evenly across our planet [..] Warming is strongest in the Arctic during its winter months, and in the Earth's mid-latitudes during the warm season." The reduction in the albedo of the melting ice caps is causing global warming at a faster rate than the rise in temperature in the tropics.
While the focus of the international policy is on the essential reduction of emissions, it is the cumulative effect of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere that drives global warming. The 2020 CO₂ level will be 413.30 ppm, surpassing pre-industrial levels by more than 133 ppm. Unless civilization finds a way to lower CO₂ from the atmosphere, the amplification of feedback from the earth and oceans will continue to warm the Earth, because:
Polar albedo (reflection) decreases due to large-scale lateral and vertical ice melt;
Reduce CO₂ intake by warming the oceans. Today the oceans absorb between 35-42% of all the CO₂ emitted into the atmosphere and about 90% of the excess heat;
Heating, drying, deforestation, and ground fires;
Release of methane from melting ice sheets and polar sediments;
Increased evaporation, especially in dry areas, increases atmospheric vapor levels which increase the greenhouse effect.
This feedback results in accelerated climate change, as predicted by Wally Broecker and others, and has the potential to cause mass extinctions. The climate chain reaction is believed to have occurred about 55 million years ago during the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM). According to Peter Ward and others, the earliest examples of mass extinctions triggered by biological processes were linked to ocean anoxia and acidification leading to the release of methane (CH) and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) by "purple" algae and "green" and sulfur bacteria. . In the same sense, anthropogenic global warming is a geological/biological process in which the original organisms (sapiens) have not yet found an effective control method.
The absorption of CO₂ is very important due to the feedback that amplifies global warming, which causes temperatures to rise in processes such as chain reactions.
While the goal of the COP26 conference in Glasgow was to reach an agreement to limit the global mean temperature to <1.5 ° C, the short-term mitigating effect of aerosols on global temperatures, i.e. ~ 0.5 - 1, 0 ° C, means global temperatures are approaching ~ 2.0 ° C.
The hope that the Glasgow climate meeting will help save the world from climate catastrophe will depend on:
Binding agreements for the most abrupt reduction of carbon emission levels to pre-peak levels of around 1 ppm/year or lower, requiring the transformation of agricultural, industrial, and transportation systems around the world;
Greenhouse gas absorption/removal efforts aim to reduce current CO₂ atm levelsreenhouse gases in order to limit warming, does not take into account the amplifying feedbacks to warming from land and oceans, nor possible reversals due to the flow of cold water from melting ice sheets into the oceans.
The critical criterion definitive of global warming, namely the atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases, rising by nearly ~ 50% since pre-industrial time, is only rarely mentioned. Nor are other quantitative measures of climate change, such as the level of methane and nitrous oxide, which have risen by about 3-fold being highlighted. While opinions by journalists, politicians, economists, and social scientists proliferate, less attention is given to what is indicated by climate science. This reluctance renders the global response to the looming climate calamity increasingly irrelevant.
It is the ethical duty of scientists to advise governments and the public of dangerous developments, but it incurs a heavy price to pay for communicating worrying news Cassandra-like, including social and professional isolation. Don't envy scientists aware of the ultimate consequences of global warming. Many have either self-censored or their work suppressed or dismissed within institutions and the media, including in governments and academia.
The reluctance of too many to undertake the effective defense of the Earth's climate, since nearly 40 years ago, can only culminate in the devastation of the planet's life support systems — one of the greatest catastrophes the planet has undergone since the dinosaur extinction of about 66 million years ago.
